only one word...slacker

Mikey with Max at the PHX Zoo

So I know I have been slacking lately. I thought I would make it up to you all with a couple funny pictures and a cute story.

So I go to the PHX Zoo with my friend Brittany, mother of Maxwell and Essa. When we get the zoo (at the entrance) Mikey says he has to go potty; Brittany is nice enough to run him over only to have him stand outside the stall and pee his pants. This wasn't any fun considering he is totally potty trained and hasn't had an accident in a while.

Luckily Britt had an extra pair of shorts.

Than over at the little park they have, Max falls into the little stream that runs under the playhouse; who would put a stream there beats me. So now Max is forced to go without pants because him are soaked.

Then after a day of crying, running off, running off, running off, oh and did I say running off (if you know Mikey, you know) Brittany & I made it to the car just to have the kids crash out cold on the way home.

And do what to know what I turned to Brittany and said,
"Man, we had a really good day today. It went really well!"
*Okay maybe you don't agree but I bet you do if your raising a three year old boy.

Happy Parenting!

That is so funny. I bet the Zoo had clothes that you could have bought for a fortune. That happened to us at Magic Mountain--Tyson had blowout after blowout & we had NO clothes left for him, but because it was approaching night time & was getting cold, we had to buy him some clothes to wear...it was in Gotham City as a matter of fact, so ended up with cool Batman clothes. Mikey cracks me up--I actually agree with you that your excursion went well--it really could have been much worse. : )

Oh funny, but also sad and scary to see what's in store for us. I'm starting to understand as Everett is now a one year old monster, but I'm guessing it's only the tip of the iceburg?!

ha ha! So true. Our perspectives of a good day change when we have such adventurous/ explore-happy boys.
